I've noticed a disturbing
trend lately that targets teenagers and twenty-somethings, encouraging
them to stay immature and delay responsibility for the sake of fun. It
sounds good at first, the way it's often worded – advising young adults
to "find themselves", have some new experiences, have some fun.... But
what this really encourages them to do (sometimes implicitly, but often
explicitly) is to "be selfish." These young adults are receiving the
message that they are too young to face adult life and that once they
do, they will have no more fun or fulfilling experiences. The problem is
that, besides those being fairly terrible ultimate-goals in life,
nothing could be further from the truth.

Mouthwatering Curry (Literally!)
Yay! Record setting low temperatures! SO MUCH FUN STUFF TO DO!! I can
throw boiling water into the air and watch it turn into snow! OR I can blow
bubbles and they’ll freeze like glass! I can climb in random doors to my car
because the rest are frozen shut!!! Or not. I’ll just stay inside and attempt
to stay warm, thank you very much. By eating this curry! It’s hot and delicious, what more could you ask for? If you like spicy things, eat it like a
soup. Or if you don’t like spicy things, eat it on rice! The best part about
this curry? Even if you’re frozen into your house because of the temperatures
that are LOWER THAN ANTARCTICA AND ICELAND, you can substitute quite a bit of
the ingredients. Feel free to play with it and make it your own! I prefer my
curry less spicy, hence eating it on rice. Jess likes his quite spicy, so he
goes the soup route. It’s really quite a versatile recipe.

Why Everyone Should Carry Bobby Pins Or Why I Never Have What I Need When I Need It
You know the feeling, the one you get when you suddenly realize that important item you *need* is no longer in your possession. Whether it be a school textbook or your favorite pair of shoes, we have all been there. Which is why I am a firm believer in bobby pins. Whether you call them bobby pins, kirby grips or those-things-my-sister-sticks-in-her-hair, they all serve the same purpose: almost anything. Whether you need a paperclip, help taking a stubborn tack out of a wall or just unlocking that door you didn't mean to close, they suddenly find a whole life of their own and accomplish amazing things. Now, I'm not saying they're magic, but
